This book deserves 5 stars. It’s not my typical genre as I’m usually more into the suspenseful/action/scandalous stuff, but Jessica has a talent to write about simple things and bring them straight to the point. The language she uses is simple and sweet, and there’s no unnecessary beating around the bush. The story has quality and depth, and everything is about how Sadie feels and how it changes her throughout the book. You empathize with her and can follow her thinking, wondering all the time if you would act the same or not. I don’t know if I can describe the ending as satisfying – it’s a happy ending for the heroine but as Jessica made the reader love both guys, they might be a little disappointed that Sadie has to let one go in the end, which we knew from the beginning, of course ^^
I have huge respect for the story Jessica wrote as a love triangle is a touchy subject in the book world (I know, because I also have a book out there where a love triangle is included). Sadly, there are readers who find affairs in books offending, even if the authors don’t approve of it either and try to make it right throughout the story, but I, personally, don’t have an issue with that. I mean we read about murder, rape, and other questionable things all the time, and no one complains, but apparently, it’s handled differently here. Anyway, I think it’s great Jessica took up this topic considering it’s a problem a lot of people have to face in their lives, and she did it professionally. Awesome work!
