If Buffy and Angel could have banged without him going all evil, then we would have had Wilomena Bastion.
Dragons suck, like literally suck the life out of you if you let them. Trick is not to look them directly in the eyes, like ever. So, the day Wila finds herself staring into the most dangerous Draconi’s pretty, emerald peepers, she knows she’s royally fucked.
No one said saving a bunch of kids from being served up as treats to the dragon liege was going to be easy. Options are limited—immediate execution or servitude, and Wila prefers to have her head remain firmly on her shoulders.
Now, the self-professed dark avenger must work to bring down a resistance of demons hell-bent on making life difficult for the dragon liege. And, if that wasn’t bad enough, her new position comes with a partner, the dragon liege’s favoured demon enforcer; a creature of fire, fury and washboard abs who—let’s face it—is just gonna cramp her style.
With the help of a ghostly receptionist, a talking dog and the thing that lives in the basement, Wila will be forced to take on a most dangerous task. It looks like some serious brooding is on the menu, because for the first time in forever, Wila isn’t sure she’s up to the job.
A city filled with monsters needs a woman who can kick ass, and Wilomena Bastion is just the gal for the job.
A kick-ass urban fantasy with a slow burn reverse harem romance.

My name is Synthia Rowley, and so far I really suck at saving the world.
I’m a latent shifter, a human that magically transformed into a hyena Queen. Crazy, right? You have no idea. When I turned twenty-five some magical chastity belt that had been completely blocking my sex drive snapped. One minute I was the ultimate shy science dork, the next I had curves that kill and a libido that won’t quit.
Good thing, ‘cause I’m supposed to have four husbands.
Yep, four. I’m destined to marry them all and they were all born to love me and only me. My own little harem. Here comes the really insane part. My husbands? The four men that I’ll be mated to for the rest of my life? They were born female and my pheromones will turn them into men. You heard me right, my hyena Queen pheromones will literally change my mates from women, into hulked out sexy studs. But if I don’t find and transform my mates, and soon, my world and everyone in it will be slaughtered by demons from a different dimension.

After diving into Wrenched, Book#1 in the Hell’s Bastard series, I was immediately sucked into the story and bought Warped, Book#2 right away. The story gets more complex in this book, and a lot of characters come into play. What I like about Emma’s style are the different POV’s she uses. It’s pretty hard to do that, especially if you try to do it for those who are not the main characters in the book, but Emma did a great job here. You read from Miss C’s POV who is the old lady with the funny, southern accent, and who is like a mother to Whisper. Then you read from Edge’s POV who is the cold-hearted killer, son of the man who ruined Whispers entire life with holding her hostage for twenty years, now finding himself trying to rescue the girl he intended to kill in the first place. And then you read from Jonathan Boothe’s POV, the corrupt lawyer who is, if possible, way more evil than William Dupré was. I love how every character has their own angle and agenda. Everyone always has a goal, and it’s always interesting to read who’s going to meet whom next.
Read Book2 in 2 days which is saying something considering I have a full-time job and a part-time job as an author :D Already bought Book3!
I got a free copy of Wrenched and it collected dust on my Kindle for a few weeks before I started reading. It’s the first book I’ve read from Emma James, I was really surprised how good it was. MC Romances tend to be all the same, and there weren’t many by now who captured me like this one. I love Emma’s writing style. It has that personal touch that makes it easy to think and feel what the characters think and feel.
She’s done a great job at describing Whisper’s horrible life that she had to endure for the last two decades. At some points, it was a little too much telling how insecure she felt because the same thing was written from different POVs which made the middle drag a little bit in my opinion, but the story took off again in a direction I hadn’t expected.
The storyline is something I haven’t read in another book yet which was quite refreshing. I hadn’t seen it coming that William’s lawyer would be the next villain in the story, and I loved that twist in events. Also, the sex scene on the bike was one hell of a read. I even read it twice, it was that good.
This book is very, very dark, something I tend to stay away from because there are a lot of authors who try to put the darkest and most sinister things in a book just to make it more interesting. I can imagine it’s hard to get acceptance from everyone. Emma did a great job here and made it quite realistic and believable. I haven’t bought a Book2 in a series for a long time, but I’ll definitely dive into Warped.
It’s not relevant for the story, but I also loved the interior design. The headline images were beautiful and fit each character.

THE FIRST BOOK IN AN EXCITING NEW URBAN FANTASY SERIES BY BESTSELLING AUTHOR SARAH FINE.
One woman is in a world of otherworldly trouble—and she’s going to have to bet her life to save humankind.
Ernestine “Ernie” Terwilliger has put her dreams aside to look after her eccentric mother. Case in point: saving her from a mysterious stranger who’s just stormed the terrified woman’s antique store wearing a rattlesnake tattoo, leveling threats, and brandishing the weirdest deck of cards Ernie’s ever seen.
When Ernie grabs some of the cards and runs, she’s launched into a world she never knew existed—one her mother may know more about than she’s revealing. With a handful of stolen cards, Ernie has just been made an unwilling player in a game of good versus evil. But she’s not even playing with a full deck, and its original owner is more than happy to kill to get his cards back.
Suddenly Ernie’s matching wits and plays with the supernatural Immortal Dealers, who can raise empires, damn souls, and shape the world’s destiny. It’s up to Ernie to defeat the most brutal member of their order. And if her roguish new ally isn’t bluffing, he can help. The mystery is all in the cards, and to save her life—and humanity—Ernie had better learn how to deal.
Five clean stars.
This book landed on my to-read-list because of it’s gorgeous cover. It collected dust there for a long time because I was too busy with writing, but I was glad I finally found the time to dive into Mercy.
This is the first book I read from Debra Anastasia, and it certainly won’t be the last. Although I write contemporary romance myself, I’m usually quite indecisive in my choice of books to read because most of them are the same. In this genre, it’s either military or MC romance, but this is something new.
Nix aka Mercy is not the usual badass-alpha-male, I’m-tattooed-because-it’s-cool guy. He’s burdened with a horrible trauma from his childhood which is why he covered himself in a skeleton tattoo from head to toe. Debra managed to make the reader feel what Nix feels. Nothing felt out of place. What she writes feels realistic and is never exaggerated. Nix is brutal but just. He’s not a macho with a big mouth despite his physics and scary tattoos, and I like that about him.
I also love Debra’s writing style. While it’s plain simple with short sentences, it brings things straight to the point. No unnecessary phrases, no super long sentences. Her language is clean, and the story is straight-forward. This is really something considering the book has over 400 pages which is quite unusual for a stand-alone in this genre. It’s proof that the author knows how to create a story with depth.
Can’t wait to read Animal’s story in Havoc!
Phew, it's been a tough week for me. The release of HUNT ME left be spent, and I've worked through many nights to get it out there into the book world. BUT it was definitely worth it because I've never imagined it to be such a success!
When I started writing the first book in the series last year in January, I did it with the idea of just "filling in the gaps" - meaning to write a few novellas in between publishing my main novels. With this in mind, HIRE ME released in summer 2017, and HIT ME came soon after. For one year, I had nothing new to offer my readers because I had to focus on my Paranormal Romance novels, and it was super hard because the novellas became something I really loved to work on.
When I released HUNT ME a few days, I thought I wouldn't have many readers that I could reach. After all this time, most of them surely had forgotten about the series. Instead, I was super shocked to see the response rate when I announced Book#3!!! I couldn't believe there were so many people who were waiting for this book for twelve months!!!
So, I figured this was the right time to say a huge THANK YOU with a few goodies that will expire at midnight, 07-23-2018, so make sure you'll take the chance!
Hunt Me, Book3 in The Heed Me Novellas, finally hit the shelves! Meet sexy villain Daniel DeLuca and dive into Leo's story ;)
He’s a lost man with a black soul. She’s a lost cause with a black heart. But together, they make a heart of gold.
I’m Leonara, the crazy one in Sam’s circle. The one with the nightmares lurking behind her shoulder, the blunt attitude, and the manners of a hedgehog. The one who needs tattoos to hide what can’t be erased, a shrink to cure what can’t be cured, and a pencil in her hand to escape a reality which can’t be evaded.
To Daniel DeLuca, I’m only a means to an end. A pawn in the kingdom he rules. To me, he’s a bomb detonating in my pathetic little life I haven’t seen coming. A rich-ass mobster in Armani with a smile to kill for and eyes to die for. Oh, and also the guy who hunts me down and ships me off to another country like one of his coke packages.
So, you see, my lifestyle is as close to his as the next solar system to planet Earth. Yet, his soul connects with mine on a level that seems to defy every law of nature. How the hell am I supposed to stand a chance?
